Dr. Abdallah Shanableh is a distinguished Professor of Civil/Environmental Engineering and the esteemed founding Director of the Research Institute of Sciences and Engineering at the University of Sharjah (UoS) since 2014. He earned his PhD and MSc degrees as a Fulbright Scholar from the University of Texas at Austin, USA, and his BSc from the University of Jordan. With an illustrious career, he has held several significant leadership roles at UoS, including Chair of the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department, Research Groups Department, and Central Research and Studies Department.

He has contributed to the academic community through his valuable work at the University of Jordan in Jordan and Queensland University of Technology in Australia. Additionally, he has had the privilege of serving as a visiting Professor at Kyoto University in Japan and as a visiting scholar at the University of Texas at Austin in the United States.

In recognition of his outstanding accomplishments, Dr. Shanableh is a Chartered Professional Engineer in Australia. Prior to his academic career, he also gained valuable industry experience as a Senior Engineer with Engineering-Science, Inc. in Houston, Texas, USA.
