Prof. Allam Mousa
Professor Allam Mousa is a distinguished researcher, academic, and leader with an impressive record of achievements. He holds a B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Eastern Mediterranean University in Cyprus, all with high honors. With over 28 years of research experience in radio frequency, wired and wireless communication systems, signal processing, and encryption, Professor Allam is an expert in his field. He also has extensive experience in areas such as quality assurance in higher education and institutional planning.
Passionate about sharing his knowledge and expertise, Professor Allam has published dozens of journal and conference papers and has been awarded many scientific visits as a teaching and research professor at several international universities, including those in Malaysia, Italy, France, England, and Belgium.
In addition to his research and academic work, Professor Allam has also served in leadership roles for over 20 years. As the team leader for planning, development, and quality, he achieved many national and international awards and certificates for the University in quality assurance, excellence, and institutional development, such as “Committed to Excellence -C2E”. He was the Chairman of the Electrical Engineering Department from 2002 to 2009, the Deputy President for Planning, Development and Quality from 2009 to 2014, and the University Vice President for Academic Affairs in 2020. He also established the first virtual and augmented reality center in Palestine in 2021. Professor Allam was selected to join the 17th Palestinian government as the Minister of Transport from 2014 to 2015 and as the Minister of Telecommunication and IT from 2014 to 2019.
Professor Mousa’s membership and affiliation with several national and international networks over the years, such as ITU, IEEE, EFQM, TEMPUS, MUNDUS ERASMUS, Erasmus Plus, AMIDEAST, QIF, APQN, and the Engineering Association, showcase his dedication to advancing research and education as well as his interest in improving the quality of life for humanity. He is also a member of several Steering and Scientific Committees of many international journals and conferences. His leadership, research, and academic contributions make him an inspiring member of the academic community.
