Isam Shahrour is an esteemed professor at Lille University and a member of the prestigious French Water Academy. He obtained his degree from the National School of Bridges and Roads in Paris.

Previously, Isam Shahrour held the position of Vice President for Research at Lille1 University from 2007 to 2012, and served as the Director of the Civil and Geo-Environment Engineering Laboratory from 2010 to 2019. During his tenure, he fostered robust international collaborations, particularly with China, the United States, North Africa, and the Middle East.

With a diverse background in IP, IT, Transmission, broadband, and voice networks of both fixed and mobile network infrastructure, Jamal has been an integral member of the executive team at PalTel Group for numerous years.

Silvia Masiero

Dr. Randy Martin 

Importance of Collaborative and Current Research in Engaging and Motivating Students

Dr. Randy Martin is a Research Associate Professor of Environmental Engineering at Utah State University with a joint appointment at the Utah Water Research Laboratory (UWRL), he also serves as an Associate Director of the Utah Climate Center and serves as a member and the Chair of the State of Utah’s Air Quality Board. He received his B.S. in Environmental Engineering at Montana Tech in 1982 and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Washington State University in 1987 and 1992, respectively.

Dr. Saleem Zoughbi

For twenty years Dr. Zoughbi was an associate professor and chairperson several times in information systems at the Al-Quds University and Bethlehem University in Palestine. He subsequently moved to international development work and joined UN ESCWA in Beirut, then United Nations University in Macau, China, and currently he is a senior adviser in the UN APCICT for government capacity building and change management. . He has been providing technical assistance and advisory services to over 45 countries extending from the South Pacific to Latin America but with a particular focus on the Middle East and Southeast Asia.

Abdallah Shanableh

Abdallah Shanableh is a distinguished Professor of Civil/Environmental Engineering and the esteemed founding Director of the Research Institute of Sciences and Engineering at the University of Sharjah (UoS) since 2014. He earned his PhD and MSc degrees as a Fulbright Scholar from the University of Texas at Austin, USA, and his BSc from the University of Jordan. With an illustrious career, he has held several significant leadership roles at UoS, including Chair of the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department, Research Groups Department, and Central Research and Studies Department.

Dr. Wael Alhajyaseen

Dr. Wael Alhajyaseen is an Associate Professor at the Qatar Transportation and Traffic Safety Center in the College of Engineering, Qatar University. He holds an M.S. degree in transportation engineering from the University of Jordan (2005) and a Doctor of Engineering degree in civil engineering from Nagoya University (2010).

As the Chair of the Traffic Safety Analysis and Policy Group of the World Conference on Transport Research Society (WCTRS), Dr. Alhajyaseen has made notable contributions to the field of Traffic Engineering. His expertise and dedication have earned him several regional and international awards, including the prestigious Yasoshima Yoshinosuke Prize presented by the Eastern Asia Society for Transportation Studies in 2009.

Dr. Khaled Hamad

Dr. Khaled Hamad is an esteemed civil (transportation) engineering professor at the University of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates since 2009. He holds a Ph.D. and MSc in Civil Engineering from the University of Delaware in the USA, and a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from An-Najah National University, Palestine.

Dr. Hamad is an active member of renowned professional organizations, including the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE), and the Transportation Research Board (TRB). His research interests revolve around intelligent transportation systems, traffic operations, highway safety, and sustainable transportation and infrastructure systems.
